Steve Price: Music
Enter the Divine
(Steve Price)
This song came to me on a day when I was cut off by a young man on the freeway. First, I realized that somehow I was on the other side of the generation gap. Then, I became aware of how, in the moment, I got so angry I wanted to get even. Later, as I settled down, I realized there is enough “of all that stuff”. I know that peace starts with me.
When I’m old forgive me
Too slow please forgive me
Get off the road
I’m on the go
When I’m old forgive me
When I’m sick forgive me
Need some help forgive me
Open the door fall on the floor
When I’m sick forgive me
What’s the price of being kind?
To the fellow next in line
There’s enough of all that stuff
Enter the divine
I am young and dandy
Driving fast and fancy
Out of the way it’s my day
I am young and dandy
Can’t you understand me?
I need another coffee
Don’t you know?
I’m on the go
Don’t you understand?
What’s the price of being kind?
To the fellow next in line
There’s enough of all that stuff
Enter the divine
Stick me in a corner
Call it rippling water
I’m too slow that I know
But you are next in line
What’s the price of being kind
to the fellow next in line
there’s enough of all that stuff
Enter the divine
